Honoring the Legacy of United States Army Rangers
Our Story
The Ranger Legacy has been developed and fostered for more an 80-year history, but the origins of the Rangers can be traced back to the 1700s. In 1974, General Abrams chartered the Ranger Battalions to be “the best light infantry unit in the world” and a “standard bearer for the rest of the Army”.
The Ranger Creed reverberates through the hearts and minds of all who dare to join the ranks. The character traits exemplified by Rangers—courage, determination, integrity, dedication, intestinal fortitude, and respect—have been and continue to be fundamental to the greatness of the United States Military. This Legacy is the very genesis of the Ranger Brotherhood – an ethos that binds them together and demands 100% and then some. That is what drives Rangers. That is what inspires Rangers. It is this same Legacy that is the driving force for the Ranger Legacy Foundation.
The Ranger Legacy Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.
Our Purpose
To share the heart and soul of what it means to be a Ranger and to honor Rangers in perpetuity by means of a Ranger Legacy Center that provides a forum for the preservation and elevation of the iconic Ranger way of life.

“From the Normandy beaches to the desert sands of Afghanistan, the first boots on the ground have always been US Army Rangers. The Ranger Legacy Foundation honors their service and preserves the spirit of these great warriors.”
— Jeff Struecker, Chairman
Our Mission
Our mission at The Ranger Legacy Foundation is to build and maintain a dynamic place and environment that passes down the legacy of the Ranger community to future generations.
Our Vision
Our vision for the Ranger Legacy Center is for it to be an inclusive, apolitical, and beautifully authentic home for all Rangers that provides the environment for connection, growth, and personal development. Prominently showcased is the prestigious Ranger Hall of Fame.
This ‘home’ hosts organizations, individuals and events (both large and small) that appeal to the spiritual, mental and physical well-being of the entire Ranger community. The sprawling grounds are a destination spot for Rangers, their families, and community members to find respite amongst the historical preservation, relaxed experiences, and the forward leaning thought leadership of our future.
The Ranger Legacy Center began as a vision to create a space where all Rangers, their family and friends, and supporting civilian community members feel safe and comfortable to learn and grow together.
In 2023, interested parties convened to talk about the scope and possibilities of such a dynamic place. Ranger wife, Melissa Siefken, volunteered to bring the project to life through her design talents.
In 2024, The Ranger Legacy Foundation was formed in by a small group of passionate volunteers inspired by the possibilities and committed to the vision.
Ranger Legacy plank owners started enthusiastically investing and we are currently in the pre-design stage of development. The Foundation also announced an Advisory Council, a body composed of Gold Star families, veterans, and stakeholders to educate and advise towards the ultimate Legacy Center design. In addition to the work surrounding the design efforts, the Foundation initiates and conducts a bi-monthly IPR about the process.
